Michael Palmisano

Michael (Michele) Palmisano, 95, resident of Bartlett for over 32 years, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2026. Mike was born in Italy and emigrated first to Canada and then to the United States where he met and married his beloved wife, Mary. Mike was a kind, loving, and hard-working man. He valued his family deeply and proudly made them his priority. Mike had the chance to travel occasionally, and his greatest pleasure when traveling was to visit a friend or family member. Mike grew up as an avid listener to opera in the streets of his hometown, Triggiano, and from that experience he developed a lifelong love of music. He was able to identify titles, composers, and arias like an expert and would delight his family by singing along with the music.
Mike was a devoted husband of 67 years to Mary A. (nee Agostino); loving father of Michael (Linda) Palmisano, Jr., John (Lori) Palmisano, and Anthony Palmisano; adoring grandfather of Jessica (Aaron) Heinrich, Emily Palmisano, Abigail Palmisano, Zachary Palmisano, and Caitlin (Kevin) Andersen; proud great grandfather of Cameron; dear brother of Josephine (the late Robert) Strobel, the late Nicola (the late Grazia) Palmisano, and the late Mario (Gloria) Palmisano; and fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Wednesday, June 10 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Rd. (at Stearns Rd.), Bartlett.
