Michael R. Lacey of Bartlett, IL passed away surrounded by his family, on Saturday, July 16th, 2022.  He was born on July 14th, in Arlington Heights, IL, to proud and loving parents, Richard G. Lacey and Carol (Bednarek) Lacey.
 
 Michael grew up in Bartlett and attended local schools within Elgin School District U46.  He graduated from Elgin High School in 1991 and studied Culinary Arts courses at Elgin Community College.
 
 Michael worked in various jobs throughout his life – including delivering pizzas early in his career, he also worked as a talented chef at restaurants such as Bartlett Restaurant, Chicago Prime Steakhouse, and Medinah Country Club.  Most recently he worked in the Logistics and Supply Chain department at Steiner Electric as a forklift operator supervisor.
 
 Michael was a talented musician – he loved playing his small collection of acoustic and electric guitars throughout his life, and always welcomed family and friends to play music live with him.  He also enjoyed the outdoors, including camping, fishing, and bike riding.
 
 He is survived by his parents, Richard and Carol, and his brother Robert (Shannon), his niece Sierra, and sister Janelle (Lewis).  He is preceded in death by his grandparents George and Mary Lacey, as well as Stanley and Helen Bednarek.
 
 A Memorial Visitation will be held between 11:00A.M. – 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 26th, 2022, with a service to follow at 1:00 P.M. Visitation and service will be held at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory at 950 South Bartlett Road, Bartlett, IL 60103.
