Michael S. Kennedy, 62, of East Dundee, died September 3, 2010 in Elgin. Born April, 19, 1948 in Decatur. He was the son of Thomas and Lois (nee Black).
Mike graduated from Mt. Pulaski High School in 1966 and Illinois Wesleyan University in 1970. He was a member of Theta Chi fraternity. Mike was an avid hunter, snowmobiler and a long-time member of the Elgin Cold Ducks snowmobiling club. He especially enjoyed teaching snowmobile certification and safety classes.
Ultimately, Mike’s pride and joy was his beloved family and relationships with his friends. The love that he shared with them will be remembered for generations.
Survivors include wife Lori (nee Tackett); children David of Elgin, Sara of Chicago, Brandon (Tana) Brancato of Parker, CO, Beth Brancato of Commerce City, CO, and Matthew (Micaela) Brancato of Detroit lakes, MN; grandchildren Jacob, William, Tessa and Brody; and mother Lois E of Mt. Pulaski, IL, cousins Carol, Seth and Martha Phillips and long time friends Jim and Donna Kroc.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Memorial Visitation Tuesday, September 7, 2010 from 11a.m. until time of memorial service 1p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd(at Stearns Rd), Bartlett.
