Michael Holbert

Michael Wells Holbert; age 71; beloved father of Michele, Jessica (Scott) Becker and Alison (Timothy) McCarty; loving Papa of TJ, Kendall, Melvin, Kayla, Nolan and Alana; Uncle of Kelly, Megs, Lisa, Porter, Taylor, Lynn, Karl and Eric; brother-in-law to Mitch Kotlarz; dear friend of Cathy Collins; devoted friend of many. He was preceded in death by his parents, Porter Lee Holbert, Elizabeth (Travis) Marshall; brother Garry Holbert; sister Patricia Kotlarz and dear caring ex-wife Louise Holbert. He was a veteran of Vietnam War and served in the Navy. He loved driving the Trolley in Deadwood, SD and riding his Harley. Memorial visitation 12:00p.m. until time of memorial service 3:00p.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 333 S Roselle Rd (1/4 mile south of Irving Park Rd), Roselle. A second memorial visitation will be held from 12:00p.m. until time of memorial service 1:00p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at the First Presbyterian Church, 12 Baltimore St, Lead, South Dakota. Inurnment will be private at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, South Dakota at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Kidney Foundation, www.kidney.org, would be appreciated.
