Michael J. Edgerton; age 47 of South Elgin passed away Thursday, November 20 after a 2 ½ year battle with pancreatic cancer. Beloved husband of Gina (nee Governale); loving father of Caitlin and Connor; cherished son of Michael and the late Marilyn (nee Lennert); dear brother of Patrick (Vanessa) and Mary (David) Ketelsen; proud uncle of Jesse, Christian, Brianna, Matthew, Jordan, Jackson, Christopher, Anthony and Nicholas.

Michael was a Red Sox fan, avid sports and soccer enthusiast.

Visitation Monday, November 24, 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory, 95 S. Gilbert St. (at State St.) South Elgin. Funeral Tuesday, 9:15 a.m. to St. Laurence Church. Mass 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations to his children’s college fund c/o Gina is appreciated.
