Michael Buckner

A memorial visitaion for Michael Edward Buckner, Sr., age 68, will be held Saturday, August 7, 2021 10:00a.m. until time of service 12:30p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 333 S. Roselle Rd. (1/2 mile south of Irving Park Rd.) Roselle. Cremation was private at the Countryside Crematory.

Michael passed away peacefully on February 26, 2020. Born September 14, 1951 in Oak Park, IL to the late James Samuel Buckner, Sr. and Catherine Ann (Traynor). Michael was always someone you could count on to lighten up any room on any day, no matter the circumstances. He believed in the healing power of laughter and used humor to show love, to comfort and to overcome. He never held anything back and told you, straight out, exactly how it was and he was never one to wait patiently for anything. His heart was full of love. Family was most important to Michael. He was a devoted and beloved husband to Nancy Buckner, loving and supportive father to Michael, Jr. and Monica (Jeffrey) Tomaselli. He was an over the moon proud Grandpa to Emma May and Gabriella Grace Tomaselli. Michael was the youngest sibling to; Marie (late William) Loomer, the late James Samuel Buckner, Jr., Lee (late Michael) Sianez, and Kathi (Paul) Melone. Brother-in-Law to Rosemary (late John) Provenzano. He was goofy Uncle Mike to many cherished nieces and nephews.

And as we close our eyes to imagine our fondest memory of Michael, each one of us may have our very own special memory, but everyone will have a smile on their faces when remembering him for how he made us feel and the memories he gave us that we will forever hold near and dear to our hearts because he was in our lives.
