Merril “Bob” Kirchner, 93, of Elgin, Il, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2024. Merril was the beloved husband of Carole (Pellow), with whom he shared a remarkable life. He was the cherished father of four: Kim (Jeff) Maloney, Merril (Kipton) Kirchner, Craig (Cindee) Kirchner, Keith (Heidi) Kirchner. He was a proud grandfather of 10 and a loving great-grandfather of 14.
Known for his big, friendly smile that lit up every room. Merril’s warmth and kindness left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. He was a man of simple joys and great passions, especially his life long love of pigeons as an avid pigeon fancier. He also spent countless hours in the great outdoors, enjoying the serenity of hunting and fishing.
Merril‘s legacy lives on in the lives of his family, his love of nature, and the many memories shared by all who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed and his spirit will remain forever in our hearts.
