Prayers for Mercedes M. Newcomb nee Schell of Elk Grove Village will begin Wednesday 8:45a.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home 333 S. Roselle Rd. Roselle to St. Julian Eymard Church. Mass 9:30a.m. Interment St. Michael the Archangel.
Visitation Tuesday 3:00 - 9:00p.m. at the funeral home.
Born November 16, 1920 in Chicago, Mercedes died Sunday January 8, 2012.
She is the beloved wife of the late James P.; loving mother of Frank (Mary Ellen), James P. (Sarah), Joseph (Kathleen) and Eileen (Sam) Quilici; cherished grandmother of Gina, Lindsey, Ashley, Bret, Suzanne, Holly, Sarah, Danielle, Bradley and Courtney; adored great grandmother of Alex, Peyton, Natalie, Alyssa, Christ, Will, Lucas and Neely; dear sister of the late Charles, Edwin, Joseph, Elizabeth and Genevieve; proud godparent to many special people.
