Melinda Gwinn

Melinda L. Gwinn, 65, of Flatwoods, KY, died Sunday, June 22, 2014 in Bartlett after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Born June 22, 1949 in Ashland. Melinda enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends. Beloved mom of Lisa (Kevin) Newton; loving “G” of Cade; cherished daughter of the late John and Orie (nee Holland) Hicks; dear sister of Danny Hicks, Sandra Akers, Pamela Thompson, Randall, Ronald and Rick Hicks. Cremation and arrangements were handled by Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd, Bartlett. Memorial service and inurnment in Kentucky, later date. Memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org, would be appreciated.
