Megan Carrillo

Megan Melinda Carrillo left this world on October 4, 2023. She had just turned 42 years old a couple weeks prior. Megan was mother to three wonderful children: Angelica (23 years), Aaliyah (18 years), and Gavin (10 years). She was daughter to Richard Lichter (who passed away in 2007) and to Brigitte Lichter. She was a sister to Lauren (John) and aunt to Mikayla, Gio, and Giulia. Megan also leaves behind aunts, uncles, and cousins: Ron and Glenda Lichter, Peter and Loretta Hendler, Isabel Hendler, David and Theresa Hendler, Valerie, Karl, Melissa, Jenny, Kelly, and Michael.



One thing you have to know about Megan was her love for animals. Growing up there were always pets in the house: cats (more than 1), dogs (more than 1), an iguana, and rabbits. Megan raised Jersey Woolies for showing and harvesting their angora. She won 2nd place at the Illinois State Fair for her rabbit, Snickers.



Megan also had a heart for the down and out. Working on the sales floor of a used auto lot, she made sure that everyone who wanted a car, drove away with one. She worked tirelessly searching for loans where it seemed impossible elsewhere. Because she identified with hardships, she showed kindness and grace to all.



We will remember Megan with an informal gathering at the family home, 1161 West Bryn Mawr Avenue, Roselle, IL 60172, Saturday, October 14, 2023, 3:00-7:00 pm. A short prayer and scripture time will begin at 4:00 pm.
