Matthew Stawiarski

Matthew Michael Stawiarski, 91, of Streamwood; born 11-18-1919 in Chicago, IL; passed away 12/1/2010 in Elk Grove Village; beloved husband for 62 years of Beatrice nee Krause; loving father of Bruce (Ginny Kobilca), Cathy (Al) Tierney and Jan Stawiarski; cherished grandfather of Michael (Tina) and Patrick (Seiga) Tienery, Shannon (Chris) Roberts and Matthew and Kristen Stawiarski; proud great-grandfather of Jack, Lani, Isabella, Luke, Maya, Kristina, Shaun, Collin, Lincoln and Natalie; caring son of the late George and the late Mary nee Pater; dear brother of Chesteria and the late Helene and fond uncle to many nieces and nephews. Matthew served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a chemical engineer with Central Soya for many years. He was an avid golfer and woodworker. Visitation Friday 3:00-9:00 PM at the Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.) Streamwood/Schaumburg. Funeral Saturday 10:30 AM. Interment Maryhill.
