Matthew Sak

Matthew “Skip” J. Sak, 66, of Rockford, formerly of Schaumburg, died May 21, 2013 at home. Born December 25, 1946 in Chicago. He was the son of Matthew F. and Jeanette (nee Brownfield). An avid Bears fan and outdoorsman, Matthew had a good sense of humor and will be missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include wife Gwen (nee Fabbri), daughters Angie (Steve) Ainley, Sarah Sak and Jennifer (Shannon) Geary; grandchildren Steven, Michelle, Hannah, Dylan, Samantha, Delaney, Gianna, Skylar, Cameron, Jovi; sister Patricia and brother Eddie (Linda), nieces Rhonda and Gwen and nephew Chris.
He was preceded in death by his sons Matthew and Anthony and his parents.
Visitation Friday 3:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd (at Barrington Rd), Streamwood. Funeral Saturday 10:15a.m. to St. Matthew Church, Mass 11:00a.m. Following services cremation will be at Countryside Crematory. Private inurnment St. Michael Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials to Wolf Park, 4004 E. 800 N, Battleground, IN 47920.
