Matthew Elias

Matthew “Matt” Elias, 22, of Bartlett, died July 5, 2017. Born October 8, 1994 in Park Ridge, Illinois, Matt grew up and attended school in Clarendon Hills and Hinsdale. He recently graduated from College of DuPage with a degree in Motion Picture and TV Production where he also worked as the editor for their Courier TV news show. He enjoyed video games and anime and hoped to one day work professionally as a video editor. He will be missed by his family and friends. Beloved son of Aarne Elias and Leslie Wick; loving brother of Ingrid and Peter; cherished nephew of Jaan (Mary) Elias, Cathy Lesh, David (Artis), Randy and Bruce Wick and kind owner of Mocha and Gizmo. Cremation is being handled by the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, Bartlett. A “Celebration of Life” is planned for Tuesday, July 11 from 5-9 pm at St. Andrews Golf & Country Club (2241 Route 59, West Chicago, IL). Some of his student video work will be screened during the evening. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org, would be appreciated.
