Matthew Chrostek

Matthew Chrostek, 87, of Bartlett, died Monday, April 16, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family. Born September 28, 1924 in Chicago, he was the son of Paul and Anna. Matthew enjoyed walking and being in the outdoors. He was well versed in music playing the accordion and harmonica and enjoyed singing and listening to polkas, but his true passion was being with his family.
Survivors include daughters Gloria (Bill) Sippel, Christina (Don) Dayton, Anna Shamma and Mary Acosta; grandchildren Lisa, Billy, Nicole, Tony and Christopher; significant other Marian Plaza and best friend George Chaplin.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lillian, parents, and sisters Wanda Marc and Adeline Otowski.
Visitation Thursday, April 19, 2012 from 3:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, Bartlett. Funeral Friday 9:15a.m. going to St Peter Damian Church, Mass 10:00a.m. Interment St. Adalbert. Memorials to the family would be appreciated.
