Prayers for Mary J. Vasquez nee Perez of Woodstock, formerly of Streamwood will begin Saturday 9:15a.m. at the Countryside Funeral Homes and Crematory 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.) Streamwood/Schaumburg to St. John the Evangelist Church, 427 Cedarcrest Drive, Streamwood. Mass 10:00a.m. Interment St. Michael the Archangel 1185 West Algonquin Rd., Palatine.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday 3:00 - 9:00p.m.
Born September 18, 1926 in Dixon, IL, Mary died Monday October 22, 2012.
She is the past president of Streamwood Chamber of Commerce and lifetime honorary member, former Businessperson of the year, member of Advisory Board of School District U-46.
Mary is the beloved mother of Adele (Richard) Petersen of Woodstock, John M. (Lana) of Marengo and James of Schaumburg; cherished grandmother of Jennifer (Todd) Christopher, Kyle (Diana), Keith, Stephanie and Brian; proud great grandmother of Kiley Madison, Madeline Elizabeth and Gabrielle Autumn; dear sister of the late Ruth Pizzaro and former wife of the late John Vazquez.
