Mary Speciale

Mary Elizabeth Speciale, 51, of Elgin, Illinois passed away peacefully with her loving & ever faithful husband Phil by her side. Mary was born December 11, 1973 in Lancaster, Kentucky, the daughter of Russell L. Hinds and Shirley A. Blyskal.



Mary attended Downers Grove South and later graduated from N.I.U with a master's degree in economics and a second master's from DeVry. She most recently worked for DeVry for the past 15 years.



Mary lived many years in Downers Grove and Naperville before meeting Phil. She moved to Elgin and they made a loving home and life together. She married the love of her life and soulmate on November 30, 2019 in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin and had happy years together.



Mary touched many lives, she had many dear friends and all that met her. grew to love her. Mary was loved by many throughout her life and impacted numerous family & friends along the way. She truly loved her husband Phil and their precious Sydney. Mary will truly be missed by all and a void will never be filled.



Mary is survived by her loving & faithful husband Phil. Her dad Russell (Elizabeth) Hinds of Danville, KY, and mother-in-law Anita Speciale of Elgin, IL. Sisters Tina Taulbee of Streator, IL. And Laura (George) Hinds of Elgin, IL. Brothers and sisters-in-law Artie & Kim Speciale of Elgin, IL. Nephews Kyle (Sam), Sean (Jacqualyn) and Nick (Tiffany). Nieces Christine (Donnie) Rachel, and Catie. Great nephews Roman, Damien, and Dawson. Great nieces Harper, Marlei, Morgan, Ember, Mel, and Jordyn. And many uncles, aunts, and cousins throughout the states.



Mary was preceded in death by her stepdad and mother, James and Shirley Venard, many uncles, aunts, cousins, and great-nephew Little Richie.



Visitation Monday, May 26th 3:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home, 95 South Gilbert St. (at State St.) Funeral Tuesday 10:00 at the funeral home.

Inurnment Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin.
