Mary Smalley

Mary Ann Smalley, nee Martin, 73, of Bartlett, formerly of Elmhurst and Chicago; wife of James A.; mother of James K. (Lorraine), Mary Katherine (Chris) Wlezen, Michael (Sandy), Patricia (James) Ankrom; grandma of David (Shannon), Jamie (Tommy), Amanda, Eric, Jessica and James W., great grandma of Aaliya; sister of Harry "Buddy" Jr. (Angie), Kevin and the late Mickey (late Pat); niece of Sr. Kathleen Kevin, CSJ; daughter of the late Harry "Sonny" and Mary Elizabeth "Mae" nee Ryan; aunt of many nieces and nephews...friend to all; last but not least 11 granddogs. Mary Ann was an outgoing, caring, special woman who loved life. She graduated in 1957 from Visitation High School. She also worked in many different capacities throughtout her career including but not limited to her work at Nativity church and religious education at Immaculate Conception Church in Elmhurst. She retired after 13 1/2 years of dedicated work for United Airlines as an administrative assistant in Elk Grove Village. She was a board Member for Bartlett On the Green (BOTG). Her passions were the White Sox, traveling and photography. As busy as she always was, she always had time for FAMILY - her true passion. She was married, for 53 years, to the love of her life. Memorial visitation Wednesday October 3rd 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Rd. (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett. Memorial Mass Thursday Oct 4th 11:00 am Thursday at St. Peter Damian Church 109 S. Crest Ave. Bartlett. Cremation was private at the Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers donations to St Judes Childrens Hospital. "God Bless and Keep You Safe."
