Mary "Lynn" Plastina, 71, nee Marth, of Bartlett peacefully passed away on Monday, April 4, 2016 at Advocate Christ Hospital.
Lynn is survived by her children William, Jr. (Nancy) Plastina of Bartlett, Anthony (Tracy) Plastina of Covington, Ga.; grandchildren Jessica (Kevin) Farkas of Elgin, Joshua and Zachary Plastina of McDonough, Ga.; great grandchildren Chase, Declan and Clare Farkas; brother in law James (Terry) Plastina of McHenry; sister in law Mary Ann Plastina of Spring Grove; nephews Michael (Cheryl) Marth of Kingston, Darren (Taralynn) Plastina of McHenry and Kevin Plastina of McHenry; great nieces Samantha Marth of Kingston and Jayden Plastina-Marra of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; Great nephews Brett Marth of Kingston and Garrett Plastina of McHenry; her beloved dog Jada and finally her numerous cousins, friends and neighbors.
Born February 8, 1945 to Bernard and Mary Marth, nee Kauten in Evanston, Il. Raised in Keeneyville with her older brother Thomas Marth. She settled in Bartlett where she met and married William Plastina, Sr. on February 24, 1973 in Chicago. After working many local jobs, Lynn became Manager of the Bartlett Volunteer Fire Department's "Firebarn" where so many fondly recalled her organizing their special occasions and party events for many years before retiring.
Lynn was preceded in death by her husband, William Sr., her parents, Bernard and Mary, her brother Thomas, sister in law Linda and niece Debby.
Per Lynn's request there will be no services. Cremation will be private at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Rd. (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett. If desired, she requested that any memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tn. 38105 or by phone 800-805-5856 or www.stjude.org.
