Mary Marienfeld

Mary A. Marienfeld (nee Clasen), 90, died Wednesday, July 14, 2021. Born December 29, 1930 in Chicago. Mary was an elementary school librarian aid for many years. She enjoyed reading, crosswords and scrabble, Needle Pointing and being outdoors. She especially loved singing, hiking, golfing, and gardening. Beloved wife of the late Ernest; loving mom Diane (Tom) Leahy, Denise (Tony) Fini and Donna (the late Jim) Kennedy; cherished grandma of Tom (Cami), Erin (Jon), Carrie (Brad), Meghan (Conrad), Matthew and Patrick (Caitlin); caring great grandma of Maddie, Maisie, Oliver, Sophie, and Waylon.; dear daughter of the late Herman and Alma (nee Alles) Clasen and kind sister of the late Virginia and Richard. Cremation is private at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, Bartlett.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at the Immanuel United Church of Christ, 415 W North Ave (corner of North and Western Ave), Bartlett with celebration of life luncheon to immediately follow.

The family would like to thank Franciscan Court Supportive Living in West Chicago for taking wonderful care of their mother and in addition Traditions Hospice in Winfield for their support in her final days.
