Mary Hanson

September 22, 1920 — June 11, 2022

Mary Hanson (nee Chromczak), age 101 ! passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 11th, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband Helmer, her son John Ludwig, her brothers Harry, Stanley and Bernard and her parents Tomasz and Amelia. Mary was born in Chicago and was a resident of Roselle for over 65 years before moving to Sunrise of Schaumburg where she was cared for in her final years. Mary worked at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago sterilizing surgical instruments when she was younger. She leaves many neices and nephews and dear friends whom she considered family. We will remember her kind heart and positive outlook. She shared her 101+ years of life lessons and anecdotes with us all. She will be deeply missed.

Visitation Thursday, June 16th, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 333 S. Roselle Rd. (1/2 mile South of Irving Park Rd.) Roselle. Funeral Friday beginnings with 9:30 am prayers at the funeral home and processing to St. Walter Catholic Church. Mass 10:00 am. Interment Mt. Emblem Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Salvation Army would be appreciated.
