In Loving Memory of Mary Ann DiDomenico
Mary Ann DiDomenico, age 84, passed away on May 29, 2025, leaving behind a space in her family’s hearts that can never truly be filled.
Born on December 6, 1940, on Chicago’s South Side to John and Elizabeth Selusnik, Mary Ann lived a life rich with love, faith, and devotion.
While working downtown, she met the love of her life, Phil. Their bond quickly grew into a beautiful romance, and they were married in 1971—a love story that stood the test of time.
A lifelong Cubs fan, Mary Ann rarely missed a game, cheering passionately from her living room. Her love for sports extended to the basketball court, where she admired Larry Bird and his Celtics with equal enthusiasm.
Books were her constant companions, and she found her calling as the librarian at Saint John the Evangelist School. There she was able to share her love of reading with children and positively impact the lives of many.
A woman of deep Catholic faith, Mary Ann prayed the rosary daily and held a special devotion to Saint Theresa. Her faith shaped every aspect of her life, guiding her with grace, strength, and kindness.
Mary Ann was the beloved wife to late Philip DiDomenico and loving mother to Deanne DiDomenico. She was the dear sister of the late Rita (late Jim) Snyder and the late Jerry (Joan) Selusnik; stepmother to Phil (Nancy) DiDomenico and Jeena (David) Trejo; and their families; cherished aunt and great aunt to many loving nieces and nephews; and dear friend to many.
Mary Ann chose not to have traditional services, but her family will honor her with a private Celebration of Life. Details to be shared at a later date. Arrangements made by Countryside Funeral Homes and Crematory, Bartlett
