Mary A. Czarnota, 77 passed away at home in Elgin, Illinois on Saturday, September 3, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. Her husband, Andrew Sr., of 55 years was at her side along with her children.  She was the mother of Andrew, Jr. (Julie), Lisa and Michael; grandmother of two and great grandmother of one; sister of David (Peggy) Ireland, Jim (Darlene) Ireland, Linda (Dave) Goddard, Carol (Frank) DeWinter and the late Betty (late Joe) Burns; aunt of many nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her Goldendoodle Charlie and Aussiedoodle Oliver.
 
 Mary was born on June 1945 to David and Elizabeth (Shane) Ireland in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania. She was the third of six children.
 
 Upon graduating from Gateway High School in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, she went to Minnesota for airline training, where she accepted a position with TWA and relocated to Chicago where she met her husband. While focusing on raising her children, she worked various jobs leading up to a career as a travel consultant.
 
 She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who brought much joy and unending love to her family. Her strength and courage during her Parkinson’s journey was a true inspiration to her family and friends.
 
 The family wishes to thank the Rush Medical Center Neurology Group for their long term medical treatment with her Parkinson’s.

 Cremation was private at the Countryside Crematory in Bartlett.  A celebration of Mary's life will be held at a later date.
