Mary Brusa
August 28, 1931 — February 20, 2024
Mary N. Brusa, 92, of Bartlett, passed to eternal rest, February 20, 2024. She was born in Chicago where she grew up and lived until moving to the suburbs.
Mary’s life revolved around raising her family and remaining a part of their lives until the end. She lovingly crafted beautiful cross stitch pieces, crocheted doilies, and scrapbooks given to her children over the years. Being a good Italian mama, she filled the house with mouth-watering aromas of good food that nourished body and soul. We will miss those meatballs she made with love and a special touch! As her life winded down, Mary enjoyed watching old black & white movies and doing word find puzzles while sitting in the family room with her daughter and taking phone calls from her children. Mary retired from working many years as payroll administrator for Township High School District 214, Cook County, IL. She was good with numbers, enjoyed her job and took pride in being able to resolve payroll and accounting problems. Mary will be greatly missed by her family and those she loved.
Beloved wife of the late Bernard, she is survived by her loving children and grandchildren. Graveside services will be private.
