Marvin Mensching

Marvin E. Mensching, 85, U.S. Army Veteran passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022. Marvin was the beloved husband of Carol for 36 years; loving father of Robert (the late Marni) and Ronald (Michaeline) Mensching; proud grandfather of Lisa (Tim) and Sarah (Zach); great grandfather to McKenna and Alexis; and cherished brother of Betty (the late Arnold) Northcutt.

Marvin enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He was born and raised on a farm so farming was always in his blood. When he retired he and Carol lived on a small farm together for many years. He planted hundreds of pine trees and fruit trees and had many gardens. Marvin loved the outdoors. He enjoyed watching wildlife and loved cutting grass.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 19th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home 950 South Bartlett Road (at Stearns Road) Bartlett. Memorial service on Friday, May 20th at 10:00am at Windsor Park 124 Windsor Park Dr, Carol Stream. Private burial at Lakewood Memorial Park in Elgin, IL.
