Martin Kubala

Martin "Marty" Kubala, 59, longtime resident of Hoffman Estates passed away Saturday, February 4. Marty worked his way through Eastern Illinois University and was a microbiologist for 30 years. An avid traveler and creative woodworker, as an amputee Marty adapted his workshop and tools to enable him to carve "Wings of Hope' and build "God Boxes". Beloved son of Helen(nee Parrott) and the late Mitchell; loving brother of Michael(the late Jane), Sarah "Sally", and the late Kathy Kubala; fond uncle of Dale(Kristin) and Daniel Kubala and Corey Webb. The family will hold a memorial gathering at the family home Sunday, February 12 from 2:00pm until 5:00pm.
