Martin Kacmar

Martin "Marty" M. Kacmar, 85, of Streamwood formerly of Chicago, passed away on February 8th. Marty was the devoted husband for 57 years of Fran (nee Dolasinski); loving father of Frannie (Lowell) Yoder, Steven, and Martin II (Camille); proud grandfather of Alexis (Kevin) Plesic, Carleton Yoder, Steven Jason Kacmar, Martin III and Phillip Kacmar; dear great grandfather of Addison Grace, and Carter Ryan Plesic; cherished brother of Mary Kacmar and the late Joseph, Paul and John; and was a loving uncle; Marty was a warehouse supervisor of E.I. Du Pont in Niles for 34 years. He was an avid pinnochle player and enjoyed playing golf with friends and family. Marty also loved to read, but the most important thing to him was spending time with his family, and his church family was an equally important part of his life. A memorial service will be held Saturday February 26th at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel United Church of Christ, 1500 Old Church Rd., Streamwood. In lieu of flowers, donations made to Immanuel United Church of Christ or American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
