It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Martha Callahan, a beloved member of the Bartlett, Illinois community for over 30 years. Born in Chicago on September 9, 1966, Martha lived a life full of love, color, and friendships, touching the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She passed away on February 27, 2026.
A cherished daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, mother-in-law, sister-in-law and friend, Martha's presence will be deeply missed. Her devotion to her family was unwavering; she is survived by her daughters, Madeline (Corbin) Callahan-Lucas, Meagan (Lucas) Wantroba, and Faith (Kevin Wantroba) Callahan. Known fondly as "GG" by her grandchildren, she leaves behind Amelia Lucas, Adriana Lucas, and Bennett Daniel Wantroba, who will forever cherish the love she gave them.
Martha is also survived by her father, Rafael Valladares, and her sister, Molly Lamphier. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Daniel Callahan, and her mother, Martha Valladares.
Martha was the proud owner of Callahan Plumbing, where she dedicated years to building a reputable business through hard work and integrity. Her vibrant spirit was not only reflected in her work but also in her many interests. She loved being social, surrounded by friends and loved ones, and found joy in the beauty of life and flowers.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory of Bartlett, Bartlett, IL with a memorial service at 3:30 PM, where friends and family will gather to celebrate and honor the remarkable life Martha led.
Martha's warmth and vivacity will be remembered by all who knew her. Arrangements and cremation have been provided by Countryside Funeral Homes & Crematory - Bartlett.
With losing both our parents within a year and four months of each other, because they left behind 3 young adults, and 3 baby grandkids the family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to help the family cover immediate expenses and provide support to the family as they navigate the unexpected loss. https://gofund.me/e9b42e394
May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she so freely shared with the world.
