Mark Desautels

Mark Avery Desautels, 55, of Bartlett, died January 21, 2018. Mark was the beloved husband of Beth (nee Neely) for 33 years; loving father of Amanda (Tony) Boyd, and Samantha and Laura Desautels; proud grandfather of Alice and Griffin Boyd; cherished son of the late Gene and Ann Desautels; dear brother of the late Eugene and Douglas Desautels. Mark was very active — he enjoyed biking and skiing and was an avid disc/frisbee golf player. He worked at Costco for 17 years, most recently at the St. Charles location.

Visitation Friday, 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Road (at Stearns Road), Bartlett. A Celebration of Life luncheon will be held Saturday, January 27, 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., at Hoosier Grove Barn, 700 W. Irving Park Rd., Streamwood (just east of Rt. 59). In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Palatine Park Foundation (https://www.palatineparkfoundation.org/donate) in Mark’s name, which will be used to fund improvements to and/or amenities for the Palatine Park District’s disc golf course.
