Marion Morin

June 26, 1934 — August 18, 2025

Marion Morin, 91, of Morris, Illinois, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on August 18, 2025.  She was born to Beulah and Leland Cary on June 26, 1934, in Parishville, New York. On November 29, 1952, Marion married the love of her life, Roland "Ronnie" Morin, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Massena, New York. Together, they shared many joyful years raising their family. They delighted in music and dancing, hosting friends, playing cards and bingo, serving their church, and taking memorable family vacations.

Marion was a dedicated employee at Morris Building and Loan for over 20 years. After retiring, she quickly realized she missed working and joined LPL Financial, where she remained until finally retiring at the age of 80. She also loved to travel with her daughters—whether by plane to see the world or on road trips exploring the quaint towns of the Midwest.

She will be remembered for her strength, wisdom, kind heart, and generosity. In addition to her strong work ethic and keen eye for detail, she was deeply devoted to her faith and an active member of Immaculate Conception Church as well as the Morris community. Above all, she loved her family dearly and was always there to offer unconditional love and support.

She is survived by her children, David (Donna) Morin of Augusta, GA; Julie Morin of Chicago, IL; and Cindy (John) Monaghan of Elburn, IL; her cherished grandchildren, Keri (Chris) Najmola and Brandon (Rachel) Morin; several great-grandchildren; and her sister, Betty Newtown of Winthrop, NY. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews. Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie; her son, Tim; her parents, Beulah and Leland Cary; and her sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Tom Demo.

A private service will be held in Chesterton, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org) or Suncrest Hospice in Illinois.

Marion's legacy of love, faith, and generosity will live on through the many lives she touched
