Mario A. Pollacchi, 88, of Schaumburg, died Monday, April 6, 2009.
Born November 3, 1920 in Chicago, he was the son of Frank and Carlotta, nee Guerra. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during WWII. Mario enjoyed cars.
Survivors include children Karen (Sal) Colletti and Rick (Maryann); grandchildren Carla (Eric) and Michael (Chrissie); and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ida, nee DeCesare, parents and sister Anita F. Oliva and brother Frank.
Visitation will be Thursday, 3 – 9 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home, 950 South Bartlett Rd, Bartlett. Prayers Friday 9:15 going to St. Peter Damian, 10 a.m. prayer service. Interment Queen of Heaven. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the family for a memorial fund to be established.
