Mario Alfonso Bendfeldt 72 returned safely back to heaven on December 29, 2018.
Survived by his loving wife Gloria (nee Polanco) of 50 years; devoted and cherished father of Gary (Kariann), Wendy (David Villarroel), and David (Katie Pelton); loving grandfather of Jacob, Julia, and Jacki; dear son of Angel R. and Dolores (nee Flores) beloved brother to Alicia, Hortencia, Reina, David, Joel, Edgar, Romeo, Alicia, Noemi, Ottoniel, Aracely, Amelie, Amed, Omar, and Brenda.
Mario was a machinist for over 37 years at Chicago Wirecraft Company in Chicago and resident of Hanover Park for over 38 years.
Mario was an avid birdwatcher, photographer, cyclist and naturalist.
Visitation for Mario A. Bendfeldt will be held Friday, January 4, 2019 3:00 p.m. until time of service 8:00 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Rd. (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett. (630) 289-7575
Following services, cremation will be held privately at the Countryside Crematory.
