Marilyn Overhage (nee Porter) of Hanover Park, died Monday, December 31, 2018. Beloved wife of the late John; loving mother of Sherri (James) Novak, Amy (Matthew) Kowalski, Johnette (Vitchko) Hristov and Adam (Traci); cherished grandmother of Zachariah, Hunter, Abigail, Madeline, Reagan, Lauren, Brady and Victoria; dear daughter of Robert and Faith (nee Warner) Porter; kind sister of Janis (Steven) Walter and aunt and great aunt to several nieces. An employee of St Alexius for over 34 years. Marilyn was devoted to the lives of her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, going to the movies, fishing, slot machines and cards with friends. Visitation 2:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. with a time of sharing at 5:00p.m, Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd., (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett. Following services cremation will be at the Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials to “YWAM” San Diego/Baja, c/o Susie Walter, P.O. Box 5417, Chula Vista, CA 91912 in Marilyn’s name, would be appreciated.
