Marie Margarette Cabel

Marie Margarette Carreon Cabel, 67, of Round Lake, joined her creator on August 10, 2025. Marie Margarette was the beloved sister of Marie Therese Cabel-Gamallo, Marie Lou Cabel-Derecho, Marie Ann Cabel-McCann, Joseph Hilarion Cabel, Ramon Faustini Cabel, Richard Cabel, Glen Albert Cabel, Marie Genevieve Cabel, Neil Leander Cabel, the late Paul Cabel, and the late Arnulf Benedict Cabel. She was also a proud, loving, and devoted aunt to all her nieces and nephews and to Dr. Marc Anthony Cabel Bernabe and John Robert Cabel McCann, she was like a second mother. She was also the loving mother of the late Coco and Miko, her beloved canines, who brought her great joy and companionship.

Marie Margarette was a graduate of St. Joseph's College in Quezon City in the Philippines, attaining a Bachelors of Science in Marketing Management. Eventually, she became an executive at Banco Filipino. Upon the closure of Banco Filipino, she came to the United States.

She joined the United States Postal Service as her 1st job from which she received her retirement.

Marie Margarette enjoyed gardening, nurtured a deep love for plants, and treasured spending time with friends and family, pursuits that reflected her warmth and deep appreciation for life's simple pleasures. She was also an accomplished bowler, an exceptional driver who enjoyed long-distance travel and adventure, alongside being a peerless navigator.

Visitation Saturday August 23, 3:00pm - 9:00pm and Sunday August 24, 3:00pm - 9:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Road (at Stearns Road) Bartlett. Funeral Monday, 10:00am to St. Isidore Church, Mass 10:45am.
