Maria "Lola" Delores Zuniga, 73, of Streamwood for 40 years, died Saturday, August 07, 2010 at her home. Born August 14, 1936 in Mexico, she was the daughter of Francisco and Maria (nee Acosta) Avila. Known for her cooking, Maria enjoyed dancing, being with family and was a lady of faith.
Survivors include husband of 48 years Eulalio; children Jose, Francisco, Rogelio (Gloria), Ricardo (Julie Gartland), Sylvia (Daniel) Trenkler and Ruben; grandchildren Stephanie, Josephine, Noelle, Daniel Jr. and Chloe; sister Genoveva Reyna, brother Frank (Gloria) Avila and sister-in-law Celia Avila.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Alfonso Avila and brother-in-law Faustino Reyna.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 12, 2010 from 3 – 9p.m.at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd (at Barrington Rd), Streamwood.
