Margaret Phillips

Margaret “Marge” Phillips (nee Cervone), 84, of Bartlett, went home to be with her savior Christmas Day. Born August 8, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY. She was the daughter of Rafael and Anna (nee Lamberti) Cervone.
Marge enjoyed being with her church community especially when she got to read during Mass. She also enjoyed baking, knitting, reading and spending time with her family.
Survivors include husband of 59 years John, children Barb (Richard) Hammes, Kevin (Cindy) and Peggy (Charlie Lindberg); grandchildren Leyla, Jonathan, Aaron, Jordan, Kori, Tyler and Cameron; great-grandchild Lauren; brother Ray (Jenny) Cervone and sister Vivian (John) Orlando.
She was preceded in death by her son John and her parents.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 28, 2010 from 4:00p.m. - 7:00p.m.at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd (at Stearns Rd), Bartlett. Funeral Wednesday 9:15a.m. going to St. John the Evangelist Church, Mass 10:00a.m. Interment Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at www.leukemia-lymphoma.org.
