Marcia Smith

Marcia A. Smith, 81, of Bloomingdale and formerly of Lombard; wife of 50 years to Donald; mother of Kendra Smith and the late Phillip; sister of the late Arthur (Ann) and the late Marian (Russell) Williams; daughter of the late Chester and Anna Johnston, nee McCaughey; she was also preceded in death by her dachshund, Spencer. Marcia was a resident of Alden Valley Ridge in Bloomingdale for 5 years. In her younger years the family would spend summers in Ottawa at the Starved Rock Yacht Club. They were also active in the DuPage Power Squadron. Before having children Marcia worked at American Airlines. When Kendra was born she stayed home to raise the children. She also enjoyed reading, genealogy and the Christmas holiday season. Cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory.
