Prayers for Marcella L. Zgoda nee Kelly, 98 of Schaumburg will begin Friday 9:15a.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.) Streamwood/Schaumburg to St. Marcelline Church. Mass 10:00a.m. Interment St. Adalbert.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday 3:00 – 9:00p.m.
Born July 22, 1911 in Chicago, Marcella died September 8, 2009
Daughter of the Late James W. and Margaret D. Kelly nee Emond and the last of the Kelly siblings. She enjoyed her final years living with her son James, daughter-in-law Karen and their family. She especially liked summers spent at her beloved Lake Como Cottage and was an avid Cubs Fan.
She is survived by her children James W. (Karen), Sr., Mary (Alfred) Bartosik, daughter-in-law Valerie (the late John) Zgoda; her grandhcildre James W. Zgoda, Jr., Linda (Ken) McCullum, Elizabeth Zgoda, Lori (Randy) Algrim, Bridget and Al Bartosik; 8 great-grandchildren, Jessica, Michael, Brett, Shane, Christopher, Lauren, Jack and Kyle.
