Manuel "Manny" "Bob" Hernandez 68, of McHenry for 30 years, passed away Saturday, July 28. Born in Des Plaines, Manny was a devout Cubs fan and avid Bears fan, Manny was employed by Siemens Medical Systems for 28 years. A Viet Nam Veteran, Manny was passionate about his yard and it's view and was a distinct animal lover and history buff, as well as a committed bulldogger since 1984, proudly finishing Champion Gentleman Jake, who was also dedicated to his labs and goats. Loving, lifelong devoted partner of Sandra Ballwanz; devoted son of the late Lucio and the late Geneva Hernandez; dear brother of Nate and Raymond Hernandez, Trina(Gene) Conkle, Frances Banuelos; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brother Albert, sisters Mary(Lawrence) Baca, Lucy(Ernie) Waddle, Laura Tillman, Connie(Jim) DIckens, Jenny Ramirez, and also by Uncle A. Manny will be dearly missed by Bentley, Jack, and Moochie. Visitation Tuesday, July 31 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at G. L. Hills Funeral Home 745 Graceland Ave, Des Plaines, IL. Funeral Wednesday 12noon.
