Mahendra Patel

Mahendra Patel passed peacefully at home in Geneva, IL on June 23rd, 2020. Mahendra is survived by his wife, Madhu and two sons, Saagar (Kate) and Aakash, and granddaughter Elina. Mahendra was a promising microbiologist in India who moved to Chicago, IL in 1981 to provide bigger opportunities for himself and his family. After settling down in Geneva, Mahendra worked as a phlebotomist and eventually retired. Mahendra enjoyed spending time in his garden where he grew his own vegetables and herbs, listening to old Bollywood songs, and watching Indian cricket matches. He also especially loved spending time with his granddaughter.
