Lynn was born on March 11, 1957 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Dona and William Bowman. Lynn already had a brother Mark at the house. Lynn was a child with all smiles and a big personality. During her school years she participated in choir, sports and church activities. In High School Lynn got a horse. She gave trail rides at the stable to defer costs. Lynn started showing the horse (Snicklerdoodles) and then moved into the world of Barrel Racing and Poles. It became a family event with making costumes, trailering, feeding, watering and grooming between events. Mom got into the act and started showing in the Senior division. Lynn got a second horse but neither of us could remember the name. This was a registered quarter horse and could fly. Everyone said the horse had the same personality like Lynn. It did what it wanted, when it wanted, didn’t list very well but when it made up its mind it went full bore ahead.
Lynn graduated from James Madison Highschool in Madison, Wisconsin. In 1981, she received her business degree from Madison Business College. She held a variety of accounting positions, most notably Smart Motors and Zimbrick Buick in Madison, Wi. This ultimately led to her dream job at Resnick Automotive in Chicago, Illinois. The company employees and owner Phillip Resnick family, soon became her family. Lynn thrived in the challenging automotive industry, always very proud of the employees at each dealership. Her trusted 4-legged children (4 sheltie dogs) became her companions at her home in Bartlett, Illinois. Her family meant so much to her, being survived by brother Mark and Deborah (Peterson) Bowman, in addition to, niece Rebekkah and nephew, Brett. They were Lynn’s shining light, taking trips to Sonoma, NYC, Italy, France and England. They were certainly her children from another mother. Many museums, restaurants and theaters made for great memories. Deb and Lynn in true sisterhood, enjoyed their time in “their kind of town, Chicago,” at the condo. Lynn had a generous spirit, opening her condo to others, Cynthia France (Debs sister) was so grateful for those moments spent while enjoying the theatres of Chicago. Lynn’s travel partner was Jenn, a friendship that took them on many trips, namely an Alaskan Cruise. Lynn left an imprint on everyone, she touched countless lives with her generous spirit, giving her time and helping anyone in any way possible.
She was my loving sister and helped in ways I don’t have the space to describe here. She was a great friend to my wife and above all she was “Aunt everything” to Rebekkah and Brett. We ask God the father to take away any pain and suffering and live in the kingdom of heaven.
