Lynda Zavadin

Lynda J. Zavadin, nee Cairns, of Hanover Park and formerly of DesPlaines. She was the loving wife since May 29, 1971 of the late William "Bill"; she was the dear sister of Anne (late William) Scheidt, Barckley (Bonnie) Cairns, Elizabeth "Betty" Moxon and Myrtle (Dennis) Steffen; beloved sister in law of Nick (Marilea); cherished aunt and great aunt of many; fond cousin of many. A special thank you to Tricia Makki for being such a true, close friend. Lynda loved being with and around family. Before health issues took their toll on her she and Bill enjoyed taking cruises to Mexico and the Bahamas. She struggled with health issues throughout her life but never was a complainer. She was a fighter. Her sister Anne, who stepped in as Lynda's caregiver, added quality and length to Lynda's life. Aside from loving her entire family, Lynda always had a pet around; some of her favorites were; Angel her great dane, Kirby her cocker spaniel, Searge her husky , Willie her greyhound and last but not least her 2 cats Tibby and Piper. Cremation will be private at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 333 S. Roselle Rd. Roselle. A gathering to celebrate Lynda's life will be held at a later date when it is safe to gather. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated.
