Lydia Alicia Muñoz (nee Libres), passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. An avid Cubs fan, Lydia was a devout golf enthusiast known for her festive Christmas Eve tamale parties. Beloved wife of the late Patricio Muñoz, Sr.; devoted mother of Alice Santee, Nancy, Norma (Dale) Brouton, Patrick, Jr. (Meghan), Nora (James) Heesemann, Gilbert (Sharon), Richard (Gladys), Robert, Rachel (Robert) Wells, Roland (Abigail), Samuel, Christine (Richard) Colwell, San Juanita, Peter, Rebecca (David) Baumann, the late Judith, and the late Alexander (Margaret); dear grandmother of Mark, Michael, John, Edward, Christopher, Tricia, Kelly, Bridget, Erin, Theresa, Kristin, Zachary, Gabrielle, Alex, Nicholas, Lindsey, Jimmy, Jacqi, Steven, Geoffrey, Dylon, Robert, Taylor, Felicia, Kaleigh, and Brandon; proud great grandmother of 18 and great great grandmother of 4; cherished daughter of the late Antonio and the late Maria (nee Flores) Libres; fond sister of the late Consuelo (the late Arnulfo) Garcia; dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet for funeral Mass Saturday, October 2 at 10:30am at Corpus Christi Church 1415 W. Lies Rd., Carol Stream. Following services cremation private at Countryside Crematory.
