Lucille J. Weingartner of Wheaton, IL passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, after a long struggle with Parkinson ’s disease. She was 85. Lucille was preceded in death by her beloved husband Richard (Dick), beautiful daughter Dawn, her parents Vincent and Elizabeth Kuhn, brothers Ronnie Kole and Jerry Kuhn. She is survived by her daughter Laura Fletcher (Scott) and cherished grandmother of Amy Melvin.
Lu was born and raised in Chicago. She met the love of her life, Dick Weingartner, and moved out to Des Plaines in 1967. She was a hard worker who eventually retired as a financial officer for a software company.
Lu and her husband enjoyed traveling and took several cruises with close friends. She loved to ride her Harley with her husband, daughter Laura, son-in-law Scott, and many friends they met over the years. Her most memorable trips included yearly trips to Door County, the ride around Lake Michigan, Sturgis, Laconia, and many more locations around the states.
She was known to many to have a great sense of humor and a generous heart. She will be missed by many.
A memorial visitation is scheduled from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday, March 14
th.
