Louise “Kris” Kristine Pokorny nee Anderson, 82, a resident of Streamwood since 1957. Visitation Friday, May 6, 2016 5:00pm until 9:00pm at the Countryside Funeral Home 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.) Streamwood/Schaumburg. Funeral Saturday 11:00am. Interment Lakewood Memorial Park.
Kris grew up in Chicago. She moved to Winlock, WA where she joined the United States Air Force. She met and married her beloved husband Norman of 61 years. She was a Korean War veteran. She worked at St. Paul Federal Bank for 25 years. Kris was a true artist, who loved to paint. She enjoyed music, spending time with her family and traveling with Norman.
Loving mother of Lorie (Steve) Van De Voorde, Normann (Pauline) Jr., Lisa (John) Juna, Don (Denise) and Kathy (Jamie) Dunne; cherished grandmother of Jennifer, Steven, Kristen, Matthew, Dan, Kyle and Michael Van De Voorde, Ben and Bayley Pokorny, Samantha, Jillian and Jacqueline Juna, Alex, Tyler and Joey Pokorny, Victoria and Johnny Daul and Linda and KC Dunne; great grandmother of Cody, Avery, Wyatt, Noah, Jack and one on the way; fond sister of Larry, Alan, and Kathy; many loving nieces and nephews.
