Louise was born on May 6, 1911 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, to Paul and Elizabeth Simon. She was one of twelve children and treasured her memories of growing up in a large family.

On February 19, 1933, she married Charles Creighton whom she met when he came to the photographer’s studio where she worked as an assistant and model. Charles was eventually transferred to Buffalo, New York, and then to Chicago. Louise was a 46-year resident of Mount Prospect where she made many lasting friendships. She was only 51 years old when Charles died in 1963. She remained in Mt. Prospect until moving to her daughter and son-in-law’s home in Hanover Park in 2005.

Louise was an avid reader and belonged to several bridge groups. She loved to travel and made many trips with her sister Margaret. They went to England, Italy, Hungary, Hawaii as well as several cruises. When she was able, she traveled to New Jersey to visit her family. An adoring grandmother, she babysat when asked and visited almost every weekend reading to them, taking walks with them and playing games. She was a longtime parishioner at St. Raymond de Penafort.

She is survived by her daughter Peg (Wayne) Deeke and her beloved grandchildren Michael (Tina) of Chicago, Katherine of Hanover Park, David (Nicole) of Chicago, and Meg (Bradley) Dixon of Peoria and her great grandchildren Thomas and Elizabeth Dixon. She is also survived by two sisters Margaret Bacskay and Ethel Horvath of New Jersey.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Charles, her daughter Suzanne (the late Eugene) Schlesier and by her dearest friend Patricia Jordan. Louise was also Preceded in death by her brothers Paul, John, Stephen and Alex and by her sisters Elizabeth, Mary and Anna as well as two sisters in childhood.
