Louis Patrick Stoyakovich, of Bartlett, IL, formerly of Northwest Indiana, died peacefully on Friday, January 10, 2025, with his family by his side.
Born in East Chicago, Indiana on October 18, 1960. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Irene (Szmutko) Stoyakovich. Louie is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Shelley (Lodl), his daughter, Kimberly, his sister Karen (Tim Juran) his nephew, Ryan (Juran), and niece Kaley (Michael Piercy). Louie was a family man and very involved with his family, especially with his daughter. He enjoyed watching his daughter’s soccer games, riding bikes, hanging out in their pool, a BIG fan of the Chicago Wolves, and loved to fly his remote controlled plane when it wasn't landing in a tree.
Louie was charming, charismatic, and had the patience of a saint. He loved his family and friends and would do anything for them.
He fought the good fight with Cancer for 6 years, and left knowing that he was loved by his wife, daughter, family, and friends.
We would like to thank the team from Suncrest Hospice. They always went the extra mile to make sure the end of his life was comfortable, pain-free, and he was treated with respect and dignity up to the very end. They were true angels of mercy.
