Rotella, 77 of Bartlett and formerly of Elmwood Park; husband, for 56 years, of Carmella, nee Demma; Dad of Gina (Michael) Paul, Debbie ( Dave) Dortmund, Louis M., Jr. ( Debra Gordon), Sue ( Garry) Ligmanowski, Paul (Anna), Anthony (Katie) and Andrea Rotella; grandpa of Mickey (Alli), Carla (Servando), Jackie (Nick), Nicholas (fiance Lindsey), Faith, Louie, Danielle, David, Dominic, Danny, Amy, Juliana, Tiffany, Andy (Kirsten), Frank, Sofia, Dominic, Gino, Bella, Bianca, Michaela, Mia, Charlie and late Ava; great grandpa of Mateo, Marco, Mariela, Lucas and baby Lucas; brother of Joe (Cathy), Catherine (late John), Paulette, late Peter, late Rose Mary, late Mary, late Ann (Roger); uncle of many nieces and nephews and cousin to many. Louis grew up in Elmwood Park where he attended Saint Celestine grammar school and Saint Patrick High School. It is in high school where he developed his gift for fixing things. His creative mind allowed him to take on projects both big and small. Louis was a hard working, honest, spiritual man who would stop to help anyone in need and give them the shirt off his back. He worked at Clark Equipment for 15 years in Rosemont, again excelling at fixing things. He ventured out on his own and started his own business, Lectro-Lift, Inc. Between his brothers, uncles and his wife, Carmella they all helped in building the family house where he and Carmella raised their 7 children. Louis loved being a part of a big family. He worked hard, long hours to provide for his family. When he became a grandpa he slowed down a little bit to enjoy the grandchildren. He could often times be found at family gatherings playing with the grandchildren on the floor, letting them climb all over him. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
