Louis (Lou) Perillo of Bartlett, formerly of Wood Dale, Illinois and Burlington, Wisconsin passed away on May 23, 2025 at the age of 97. He will be dearly missed. Lou was born on January 22, 1928, grew up in Melrose Park, Illinois and served in the U.S. Navy. He was an electrician and contractor, working on numerous building projects and homes. Lou enjoyed every sport, especially playing golf and bocce when he lived in Deerfield Beach, Florida. While in Burlington, he enjoyed woodworking and growing his vegetable garden. But above all, Lou cherished spending time with his family. He is the beloved husband of the late Josephine (née Linder); loving father of John (Cathy), Michael (Christine), Louis “Skip” (Eve) and the late Thomas (Diane); cherished grandfather of Jessica (Justin), Anthony (Molly), Michael (Grace), John, Celeste (Nick), Christopher, Patrick, Diana (fiancé Aadyn), Jennifer and the late Louis; dear great-grandfather of Jackson, Nicholas, Mílana, Tommy, Murphy, Mac and Josie; loving son of the late John and Rose (née Bonavolunta) Perillo and dear brother to the late Joseph and Concetta; loving uncle of Peggy Rubino and the late Larry Palmer; dear cousin, mentor and friend to so many. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 S Bartlett Rd in Bartlett. Visitation will also be from 9:30 am until 10:30 am on Friday, May 30, 2025 at the Sacred Heart Chapel at The Oaks at Bartlett, 827 Carillon Dr in Bartlett. The Funeral Mass is at 10:30 am at the Sacred Heart Chapel at The Oaks at Bartlett, 827 Carillon Dr in Bartlett. Internment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the “Trappist Casket Child Casket Fund” would be appreciated.
