Louis Baksa

February 20, 1936 — February 27, 2011

Louis Baksa passed away at the age of 75, in his home in Roselle, IL on February 27, 2011. Louis served in the United States Army after graduating high school in West Virginia and then later worked for Northwest Airlines for 35 years. He was a valued member of the vestry of the Church of St. Columba in Hanover Park, member of the Elgin Loyal Order of Moose, an avid golfer and bowler, master of the two-step, loved hunting and fishing, and was beloved by many friends and family members.

He is survived by his wife Arlene; children Anna (Larry) Wolfson, Patrick (Karen) Hamilton, Natalie Ryals, Barbara (Andy) Baksa and Paula (Mike) Kirby; grandchildren Destiny Swails, Sean and Rachel Kirby; great grandson D’Andre Swails; brother Joe (Doris) Baksa; many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his former wife Mary Baksa; parent John and Mary Baksa; brothers Bill (Mary) Baksa, Andy (Jean) Baksa, Paul (Terry) Baksa; and despite his best efforts, his daughters’ 1979 Fiat Spider 2000 convertible.

A memorial service will be held at the Church of St. Columba in Hanover Park (http:saint-columba.org.) on Saturday, March 5th at 5:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Church of St. Columba in Hanover Park, IL; the VA Hospital in Hines, IL or Alexian Brothers Hospice. Goodnight, Mrs. Calabash, wherever you are.
