Lorraine C. Golec nee Baron, age 93 passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017 at The Springs in Crystal Lake.
Lorraine was born December 21, 1923 in Chicago, IL. She was the daughter of the late George and Sigrid Baron of Lombard, IL. On April 24, 1946 she married Walter Golec. They lived with her mother in Villa Park, IL until moving to Hoffman Estates "Parcel A" with their family as some of the first residents of Hoffman Estates where she lived for over 61 years until moving to Heritage Woods - McHenry this past October.
Lorraine is survived by her daughters Linda (Dean) Hettel of Algonquin and Kimberley (Joseph) Drogosz of Columbia, TN and a grandson Michael (Katie) Hettel of Oak Creek, WI. She was preceded in death by her son Richard and her husband Walter.
Visitation Thursday, April 13, 2017 10:00a.m. until time of memorial service 11:00a.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.) Streamwood/Schaumburg. Committal service to follow at Memory Gardens. (630) 289-8054.
